Exciting Changes Coming to E-Senior Services

Posted by: DeLila Bergan on February 10, 2009

March 2009 will bring 3 major changes to E-Senior Services.

1.       Our web site will MOVE to www.e-seniorservices.com in March.  Our new expanded web site will provide separate portals for individual and corporate clients, access to our new Verified Service Provider (VSP) Directory, on-line registration for "virtual classrooms" on important elder care topics in our new Caregiver Assistance Program (CAP) and a new simpler-to-use events calendar.  We will continue to offer our popular educational segments on the site, as well as a variety of timely news and informational articles.

2.       Our Caregiver Assistance Program (CAP)will offer individualized education and tools that address critical elder care issues and help you make sense of the aging journey.  Our classes are designed to help you and your family (or your clients) learn general information about health care, legal and financial topics.  That knowledge will give you peace of mind, facilitate discussions and guide you in proactive planning for yourselves or your loved ones.  Our classes are easily accessed using the internet; all you need is an internet connection and a separate phone line to join in the live discussion.  Our 15 core classes are designed in an easy-to-understand format and will be followed by a live question-and-answer period.  Each on-line class lasts approximately 45 minutes, including time for questions.  Many area employers will also offer live classes in the workplace to help their employees with aging and caregiving concerns.

3.       Through our new web site, we will offer our new Verified Service Provider (VSP) Directory that will give you access to local services and products for seniors.  Each provider will be located by category, name and/or local service area.  The directory contains a brief description of the services and products provided by each business.  If a provider is required to be licensed or insured, E-Senior Services verifies annually that license and insurance are current at the time of listing.  [If you are a provider with a free basic listing on our current web site, please contact us to ask about being included in the new VSP Directory.  The free basic listings on our current site will not be transferred to our new .com site when we move in March.]

In today’s tough economy, and with the ever increasing complexity in health care, making care decisions for yourself or for your loved ones can be overwhelming.  As our population ages, more and more families need to make good choices about how to care for aging adults.  Where do you start?  How do you know what questions to ask?  Our Caregiver Assistance Program and Verified Service Provider Directory are here to help.
